SAFETY SPECIALIST

Applicant Abilities

  • Knowledge of general oilfield safety, training, and environmental concepts, standards, and practices.
  • An understanding of applicable government laws, regulations, and reporting procedures such as OSHA, DOT, API, & EPA
  • An understanding of basic management concepts, including motivation, communication, delegation, and organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of techniques of inspecting equipment, processes, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of oilfield workover industry-related safety equipment, materials, and technology.
  • Ability to adhere to Company policies and work requirements.
  • Oilfield Experience: 2 years oilfield safety preferred. Preference is given to workover rig safety experience applicants.
  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related discipline preferred, but not required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conducts safety and environmental assessment and inspection of records, equipment, and facilities to promote compliance with safety and environmental regulations as established by the Company and/or local, state, or federal laws.
  • Develops, implements, and communicates *Company safety and environmental policies and procedures in all areas of field operations.
  • Provides assistance in accident investigation to assist in identifying the cause and corrective actions moving forward.
  • Assists in identifying training needs for field employees.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings to enhance safety awareness and promote safe work habits.
  • Ensures compliance with the Company’s DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing policies and procedures.
  • Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the immediate supervisor.
  • Position requires light work including climbing stairs, may require occasional exposure to irregular terrains, extreme temperatures, heights, and noise when visiting & inspecting rigs.
  • Adheres to Company policies and work requirements.
  • Report directly to the Safety Director for all safety needs, equipment recommendations, employee concerns, etc.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • This position will be a five-day-a-week position.
  • Flexible scheduling is available and will be discussed during the interview process.
  • On- call when working scheduled work days

TORQUE & TEST OPERATOR
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drives required equipment safely to and from location
  • Operates company equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Consult with job-site representatives for all job information and complete company work tickets as required
  • Clean and maintain applicable equipment and tools during and after use
  • Report any vehicle or trailer repairs to appropriate individuals and any other concerned or safety related issues
  • Use and repair torque tools
  • Responsible for reporting torque & test equipment failures
  • Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment at all times
  • Tracking, recording, and monitoring of activities including bolt tension and torque as well as hydro testing
  • Inspecting and assuring the quality of bolt tightening tools and equipment including but not limited to hydraulic bolt tensions
  • Drilling rig and production hydro-testing on Pressure control equipment
  • Work is performed in all weather conditions
  • Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required
  • Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving equipment

  • Pay DOE ($30-$34/hr)

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test along with pre-employment physical/hearing test

FRAC PUMP OPERATOR
Under general supervision by location lead, safely performs tasks associated with the operation, rig up/rig down of pumping equipment, tools, and related equipment in the shop, yard, or customer location. The employee in this position will be responsible for operating and maintaining Dual Fluid pumps or other assigned equipment during operations as well as pre and post job execution. The Frac Pump Operator may be required to perform a variety of tasks or job duties assigned by supervisor. Perform all duties in compliance with Customer and Company policies and procedures and applicable regulations. Actively participates in safety meetings to identify and address risks and hazards.

Requirements

  • Operate, service, and maintain equipment in a safe manner.
  • Complete all documentation required for equipment service, inspections, and maintenance.
  • Complete electronic DOT driver logs daily.
  • Comply with required safety and operational procedures.
  • Train and mentor less experienced crew members during jobs.
  • Assists other employees with equipment rig up and rig down.
  • Operate Frac fluid pumps associated with processes including treatment procedures.
  • Perform required inspections and maintenance of equipment and ensure that iron certifications are up to date.
  • Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with Customer and Company policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Actively participates in safety meetings and assists in identifying and addressing risks and hazards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 – 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Basic oilfield knowledge.
    Licenses and Certifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have a valid Class A Driver’s License with the proper endorsements required for the type of vehicle operated, issued by state of residence.
  • Required Endorsements:
  • Class A CDL
  • All required safety certifications.
