Foremost Well Service was established in Dickinson, ND in 2016, and remains a locally owned and operated business there to this day. We take pride in our state-of-the-art equipment, our commitment to our team members’ safety, and providing quality solutions to our clients’ diverse needs. We currently staff and operate 6 – 550 series rigs and 2 –  750 series rigs.

Tom Fath | Chief Financial Officer

Tom was born and raised in Southern Minnesota and graduated with a double major in Business Management and Marketing from Mankato State University.

During and after college, he worked 13 years for Taylor Corporation in Mankato, MN. Tom and his family moved to Dickinson at the end of 2005 to be closer to his wife’s family. For 15 years he was a loan officer and bank president for Dakota Community Bank & Trust and Choice Bank. In 2021, he became the CFO for Foremost Well Service in Dickinson.

Tom has been married to his wife, Nicki, for over 25 years and together have 2 daughters, Zoe and Hope. Tom has been involved in many civic and professional organizations over the years and is currently on the Dickinson CVB board, Stark Development board & Amen Food Pantry board. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, guiding pheasant hunts, playing softball, and watching baseball and fast-pitch softball.

Erik was raised and educated in Montana working through high school and college as a CPR/1st Aid/Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor. He graduated with Associates of Arts & Associates of Science degrees from Dawson Community College, a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Industrial Technology from Montana State University, & a Master’s of Business Administration in Marketing & Management from University of Phoenix. He worked in various bank and finance management roles before changing careers to the oilfield, working as a derrickhand for Key Energy for over 4 years before hiring on with Hess Corporation. There he briefly worked in Global Supply Chain before transferring to Environment Health & Safety.

After 5 years as an EHS Supervisor, Erik started his own safety contracting company and consulted to Whiting Oil & Gas for over 8 years. Erik began working for Foremost Well Service in August of 2020 as Safety Director and most recently became Vice President of Operations.

Erik has been married to his wife Tricia, for over 21 years and together they have two boys, Payton 17 & Tucker 13. Erik & his family enjoy football, fishing, hunting, boating, & jet skiing. Erik is avidly involved with the Minot High Football boosters and is a North Dakota Safety Council member.

Brian O’Toole | President & CEO

Brian began his oilfield career in Colorado working on a drilling rig, After working on a drilling rig Brian then moved to North Dakota where he began to work on a pulling unit until he then moved into a consulting role for an oil production company. Then when the oil market crashed in 2015-2016 he started Foremost Well Service. Brian has full commitment to the employees and the customers he services, for without both he knows what we do would not be possible. He currently holds the president position and founder of Foremost Well Service.

Casey was born in North Dakota. He was raised working on his family farm and ranch operation. After graduating high school, Casey attended North Dakota State University in Fargo receiving his degree in Apparel and Textiles and Business. Throughout the summers of college, Casey worked on the drilling rigs with his father and two brothers.

After graduating from NDSU, Casey performed several jobs. From serving as all-around grunt on the drilling rig to building shops and homes, and water well drilling in North Dakota; forming and pouring concrete walls in Montana; and finally, siding homes in Arizona before returning to the North Dakota oilfield. In 2010 Casey owned and operated an oilfield service company until 2019 when the company dissolved. In 2016 Casey formed a partnership with Foremost Well Service where he serves as co-owner and Vice President.

Casey and his wife are raising their son near his childhood home where they are able to enjoy the outdoors together with their dogs and horses.
